Finding information for your state research project

In this research guide, I've put together some good places to find information in the SSC Library. The library is a physical place, with shelves and books. It is also a place you can visit online on the World Wide Web. For today's assignment, you can use library books and encyclopedias in the physical library to complete the worksheet for your state research project. You can also use the recommended online library database!

The library has a special ESL Collection with books written for ESL learners. Learn more by clicking on the ESL Collection tab above.

We also have encyclopedias! Click on the Encyclopedias tab to learn about World Book and Compton's. On this web page, I also give you some information and a link to CultureGrams, one of the databases in the online SSC Library.

All of these reference sources have great information about states! Good luck with your research - and please ask if you get stuck. I'm happy to help.

Warm regards,
Esther Sunde, Librarian
